| Couple fed-up with 'hoax Lottery jackpot claim' A Nottinghamshire couple say a hoaxer has made their lives hell by telling everyone they've won the Lottery. People have been queuing up to congratulate Brian and Jackie Button on their £3.6 million 'jackpot win'. The mystery hoaxer even pretended to be Brian and rang up his boss to tell him he could "stick his job". Mr Button, a sandwich-maker from Worksop, had not won anything, reports The Sun. Mrs Button said: "Luckily Brian's boss realises he didn't make the call. We just want people to know we haven't won. But they think we're denying it because we don't want to share our luck with them. "Life's unbearable. It's so bad we've not wanted to go out. I feel sorry for real winners." Camelot says there are no winners in the Worksop area who have agreed to publicity. 29th December 2001 |
