| Teacher 'had sex with pupils' A court has been told that a female teacher seduced three of her young pupils. Amy Gehring, a Canadian national living in Hampton, south west London, is alleged to have seduced a 15-year-old boy at a New Year's Eve party while drunk on Malibu. The 25-year-old is also accused of having sex in an alleyway with a boy as she walked him home from school. She is also said to have had sex with his younger 14-year-old brother. Guildford Crown Court heard on Monday the boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were all pupils at a school in Surrey at the time of the alleged offences. Miss Gehring denies five counts of indecent assault between 19 November and January 2001. Prosecutor Stella Reynolds told the jury: "It is alleged, in a nutshell, that this defendant socialised with these boys and other girls at the school and that in essence she became too close to them, behaving as if she was one of the pupils and ignoring the boundaries of the teacher-pupil relationship. "It is alleged she had sex with three of these boys at the time when all of them were under the age of consent." The 16-year-old - known as Boy A and who accuses Miss Gehring of seducing him three times - denied he was living out a schoolboy's "fantasy". Asked by Andrew Thompson, defending, if the accusations were "a complete fantasy on your part" and "completely untrue", he replied "No". The boy's younger brother, Boy B, giving evidence by video link, told detectives how he was walking with his teacher after a party when they ended up having sex in an alleyway. The youngster said: "She started putting her arms around me. I was a bit confused. I didn't know what was happening. "She started hugging me and kissing me. It led into me having sex with her." The boy said he had asked her if she was drunk, but she had replied she was not. He said it was the only occasion the two of them had had a sexual encounter. The trial continues. 21st January 2002 |
