| South African men are 'the world's top bastards' South African men have come out top in a survey of the world's biggest bastards. FHM magazine commissioned the survey with more than 500 men from around the world taking part. Australian men took second place and the Americans third, while German men came out as the nicest. NSM Research, based in Oxford polled readers of FHM in 14 countries, asking them to fill in a questionnaire about their attitudes and ethics at work and play. "It came as no surprise to us that South African men proved to be the world's biggest bastards - a result they accepted with great pride, ironically," FHM's Australian editor John Bastick told The Age. "But we were amazed to learn that Australian men came a pretty close second. "We knew that Australian men are great admirers of the female form, but the fact that more than 20% would create a website for intimate photos of their 'ex' and a further 20% would post them to the parents of the girl, was a revelation." 24th August 2001 |
