| Men average higher IQs than women A survey of 100,000 people has concluded the average man has a higher IQ than his female counterpart. The research, conducted in Germany, has found men have an average IQ of 119 while women scored an average of 113. Participants sent in their details over the internet. The survey for a one-off television show, IQ Test, also found blondes and brunettes have exactly the same IQ - at 117. People with black hair scored 115 while redheads managed 114 on average. People with grey hair scored 108. Non-smokers scored an average of 118 while smokers averaged 113. Right-handed people did better than left-handed participants - scoring 117 compared to 110. 10th September 2001 |
