| Nearly two-thirds of adult surfers suffer e-rage Nearly two-thirds of adult internet users suffer e- rage. A survey for Barclays found 61% of over-15s suffer feelings of anger while surfing. The most common causes of e-rage are being timed out and finding web pages aren't available. Researchers at NOP Omnibus found the most common reaction to e-rage is to log off and have a drink. Three-quarters of sufferers say this is what they do. Other reactions include swearing at their PCs. Over 40% admit to this reaction. Others shout at their partners or pets, or hit the PC in frustration. Men experience slightly more e-rage than women - 62% suffer compared to 59% of women. 29th October 2001 |
