| Third of women 'have had only one sexual partner' Nearly a third of British women claim they have only had one sexual partner, a new survey says. Some 31% insist they have only slept with one person, while almost 46% of women have taken between two and five lovers in their lifetime. For most couples initiation of lovemaking falls equally to both partners, although 32% of women said their man makes most of the effort. London women are the most sexually active, with 13% making love every day compared with East Anglia where 19% said they never have sex with their partner. Tiredness is the main excuse for not having sex, with worries about disturbing the children also a bar for many women. The bedroom remains the most popular location for lovemaking, favoured by 85%. The survey also found that most women said they enjoyed domestic chores and would hate their husband to become a house husband. A mere 1% said they had a man who did more chores than them. However, some 56% of women said they shared the childcare with their partner. 1st October 2001 |
