Motorists unaware of drink-drive limits

Nearly two in three motorists have been found to be unaware of safe drinking and driving limits.

The findings come in a survey for the insurance broker Peoples Choice. When asked how much alcohol they could consume and still legally drive, 64% of drivers got the figure wrong. Of the 652 drivers surveyed, 52% did not think that speed cameras would make the roads any safer.

The survey also showed that the passenger most men would like to have in their car was Kylie Minogue, with Jennifer Aniston second and Julia Roberts third. Robbie Williams was the top passenger for women, followed by Graham Norton and Mel Gibson. Tory MP Ann Widdecombe was the least popular passenger for men, while women least wanted Anthea Turner in their car.

Neither men nor women were keen to have David Beckham or his wife Victoria as passengers.
