'Women admit taking sickies to fix hair disasters'

A new survey has revealed some British women take 'sickies' off work because they're having a bad hair day.

One in 16 women admitted they'd taken time off after attempts to cut, dye and bleach their hair had gone wrong.

Women in the south east are twice as likely to take a bad hair day sickie than women in the Midlands. ICM interviewed more than 1,000 women for the survey, which was commissioned by Organics. Southerners are three times as likely to spend more than £100 on putting their hair mistakes right. Scottish women are prepared to spend as little as £5 and northerners are willing to spend over £200.
